Dentures
Missing teeth are often replaced with dentures or “false-teeth” which are removable, and can be worn as and when required. Dentures can be made from a variety of materials, and at Stokesley Dental Practice, we endeavor to assess you on an individual basis and provide you with the information to make the best possible choice.
Improvements in dental materials and techniques now allow for highly aesthetic and discreet appliances to restore your smile, form and function. Dental Implants are often used alongside lower dentures in situations where there is little bone remaining. Two to four small titanium implants are placed into the jawbone and left for a period of time, usually around 12 weeks, to heal.
Following this period of healing, the implants are uncovered and precision attachments placed. These precision attachments click firmly into the denture improving confidence by increasing comfort, retention, stability and function.
